Q: I've used digital effects before and don't like how they sound. How are your effects any different?
A: We're very aware of many guitarists' distaste of digital effects, so we put a lot of extra time and effort in addressing the sterile and unnatural sounds produced by many digital pedals. We've found that with the right hardware and software, digital processors can produce some amazing audio.

For the hardware, we use specially selected resistors and film-type capacitors that most accurately recreate the warm sound typically found in analog effects. We also use high-quality Burr-Brown audio op amps, analog-to-digital (ADC), and digital-to-analog (DAC) converters. All ADCs and DACs are 24-bit delta-sigma and are sampled at 96kHz.

On the software side, all of our digital signal processing (DSP) code is tested and scrutinized to ensure that any digital-sounding artifacts are removed. After the audio is processed, we run it through a custom "warming" filter to give it the warm qualities of analog audio.

Q: What kind of enclosures do you use?
A: We use heavy-duty, die cast aluminum enclosures for our pedals. The enclosures have a durable powder coat finish and are screen printed with industrial epoxy ink to make sure they stand up to all the abuse that guitar pedals must endure.

Q: I have an idea for a custom pedal. Will you make it for me?
A: Maybe. We are primarily interested in developing our own products, but we will consider doing custom work if the project is interesting enough.

Q: Do you offer international shipping?
A: Yes. We send international shipments via U.S. Postal Service First-Class Mail International. If you would like your order rushed, send us an e-mail at questions@atomic-audio.com containing your address and country along with your preferred shipping method and we'll send you a shipping quote.

Q: What kind of warranty do you offer on your products?
A: The Trem-O-Tone comes with a 1-year warranty that covers potentiometers, switches, jacks, and numeric LED displays. The pedal also includes a 2-year warranty that covers workmanship and all internal electronics.

Unauthorized modifications, misuse, and/or physical abuse will void the warranty.

Cosmetic damages are not covered by the warranty. Please also note that pedal enclosures are powder coated and screen printed by hand and may contain slight cosmetic imperfections. Any such imperfections are not covered by the warranty.

This warranty applies only the original owner of the pedal and proof of purchase is required to have any warranty work performed. Atomic Audio will provide all applicable warranty work free of charge. The product owner agrees to pay for shipping the repairable item to and from Atomic Audio.

Q: My pedal is broke. How do I get it fixed?
A: Send an e-mail to returns@atomic-audio.com. We'll send you an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and instructions on how to send your pedal in for repair. Please do not send us your pedal without an RMA as this will cause confusion and delays.
